Privacy policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Learn It is built to collect as little as possible. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the Learn It app for iPhone and iPad and this website.
In short
- You don’t need an account. We never ask for your name, email address or a password.
- Your quizzes are stored on your own device.
- If you share a quiz, its title, questions and answers are uploaded to the Learn It server under a code, so that others can fetch it with that code.
- The microphone is only used if you record your own answer sound. The recording stays on your device.
- When the app opens, it sends a small usage record (app and iOS version, device model) so we can count how many devices use it. It never includes device names, IP addresses or advertising IDs.
- No ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics.
Who is responsible for your information?
The data controller for Learn It is Falk Asset Management AB (company reg. no. 559410-9083). You can reach us at support@trylearnit.com.
Enhanced Work Nordic AB publishes and distributes the app on the App Store but is not responsible for the processing of personal data in Learn It.
What stays on your device
- Your quizzes: title, questions and answers.
- Your settings and the results of your practice sessions.
- A list of the codes for quizzes you have shared.
- Your own answer sounds, if you have recorded any.
We cannot see or access this information. Deleting the app deletes it. If you back up your device (for example with iCloud Backup), your quizzes and settings may be included in that backup according to your own Apple settings. Your own answer sounds are excluded from backups.
When you share a quiz
When you tap Share code, the app gets a free code from the Learn It server and uploads the quiz title, the questions and answers, and the date the quiz was shared. No name, email address or device identifier is sent with the quiz.
Anyone who has the code can fetch the quiz. Please don’t put personal information, such as names or phone numbers, in quizzes you share.
Shared quizzes stay on the server so that others can fetch them with the code. When space is needed for new codes, older shared quizzes are deleted, so we don’t promise a fixed time. Your own quizzes stay on your device until you delete them.
Want a shared quiz removed sooner, or want to report inappropriate content in a shared quiz? Contact us and include the code.
When you get a quiz with a code
The app sends the code to the Learn It server and receives the quiz, which is then saved on your device. The server counts how many times each quiz has been fetched. Nothing else about you is stored when you fetch a quiz.
Ready-made quizzes
Ready-made quizzes are included in the app. Opening or practicing them sends nothing to us.
The microphone
The app only asks for microphone access if you choose to record your own answer sound (up to three seconds) in settings. The recording is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. You can remove access at any time under Settings > Learn It on your device.
Technical information on the server
When the app contacts the server to share or fetch a quiz, the server, like all internet traffic, records technical information such as the IP address, the time, the address requested (which may include the code) and whether the request succeeded. We only use it to run and troubleshoot the service and do not try to identify individuals. The logs are kept for at most 30 days.
App usage data
When the Learn It app opens, the server records the time, whether it is the first time the app is opened, the app version, the iOS version and the device model. It also records a pseudonymous code that changes every day. That code only lets us estimate how many different devices used the app that day.
We do not store device names, IP addresses or advertising identifiers with this data. We keep it for up to 13 months and use it only to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
Where information is stored and which providers we use
We use a few providers to run Learn It:
- Heroku (Salesforce) runs the sharing server in its EU region and keeps the server logs.
- Railway hosts the database where shared quizzes are stored.
- Cloudflare delivers this website.
These are US companies and may process data outside the EU/EEA. When they do, the data is protected by the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
No ads, no tracking
Learn It shows no ads, contains no third-party analytics or advertising tools, does not track you across apps and websites and does not sell any information. If you have chosen in your Apple settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us aggregated statistics and crash reports. This is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your settings.
Children and students
Many people who use Learn It are at school. The app requires no account and asks for no personal information. Apart from the small usage record described above, the only content that leaves the device is quizzes that the user chooses to share. Parents and guardians with questions are welcome to contact us.
Legal basis
We process this information based on legitimate interest. That means we need it to share a quiz that you chose to share, to keep logs for a short time so the service stays secure and works, and to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of and deletion of personal data about you, and to object to its processing. As there are no accounts, we can usually only find a shared quiz if you give us its code. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se.
