Learn It is now available in ChatGPT.
Add Learn It to ChatGPT
Send a photo of a textbook page or a word list, paste your notes or say what you want to practice. You get one short link that opens the quiz in Learn It.
The plugin has passed OpenAI’s review. You need a ChatGPT account, but none with Learn It.
At 13, I sat in a workshop with Apple’s machine learning engineers, trying to discuss convolutional neural networks in seventh-grade English.
we built a very simple model anyway
It was WWDC 2017, the week Apple announced Core ML. I was there on a student scholarship. ChatGPT was five years away.
WWDC, a year later: me at 14, with some very cool people.

A year earlier, at twelve, I had started building Learn It, because I thought there should be an easier way to study vocabulary. More than 300,000 students have used it since, mostly in Sweden, and Dagens industri, Dagens Nyheter, SVT and Sveriges Radio have covered it along the way.

Then came years of school. I just graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics, and I’m building Learn It again.
Today, two things I could not have imagined in that workshop are true.
1. Learn It has passed OpenAI’s review and is now in ChatGPT
Take a photo of a textbook page or a handwritten word list, and you get a link that opens the quiz in Learn It, ready to practice.
a photo of a page in the book goes in,
a quiz comes out

2. Our first AI model has finished training
Sprinkles 1.0 started from an open model, and we trained it to build a word list on your phone from a request like “animals in Spanish”. We trained it on requests written for the purpose and on anonymized word lists from quizzes shared publicly over ten years of Learn It, and on nothing else of theirs.

It runs on Core ML, the framework Apple announced the week of that workshop.
Both are free. Learn It still has
- no ads,
- no accounts
- and no purchases.
Teachers, parents and students: what should it learn next?
